?Frequently asked questions
How does the countdown work?
You pick a target date and time, and the calculator shows in real time how many days, hours, minutes and seconds remain, updating every second.
Can I set an exact time, not just the date?
Yes. Besides the date, you can set the target hour and minute, useful for launches, exams or events at a precise time.
What happens when the moment has passed?
If the target date is in the past, the calculator shows the time elapsed since that moment (a count-up).
How many days, hours and minutes are left?
The result breaks the remaining time into days, hours, minutes and seconds. For example, 2 days and 5 hours means 53 hours remaining.
Does the countdown stop if I close the page?
The calculation runs in your browser and restarts each time you open the page, always relative to the current moment — no data is saved.
What weekday does the event fall on?
The calculator also shows the weekday of the target date, so you know whether it lands on a working day or the weekend.
What is a countdown used for?
Important events: weddings, concerts, product launches, New Year, exams, holidays or project deadlines.
Does it differ from “days until”?
The countdown includes hours, minutes and seconds in real time; “days until” only gives the number of whole days remaining.
